Opening includes the removal and storage (if possible) of the cover, as well as connecting any and all pool equipment needed to start up the pool (if possible). The pool and it's equipment are inspected for any problems we can find at the time of the opening and once everything appears to be in fine, working order we go ahead and add shock and 1 bottle of algaecide to help clear up the pool. A cleaning will be scheduled at a later date once the pool is clear and the chemicals have helped to break down any contaminants in the pool. If anything is missing or broken we may be unable to start the pool at the time of the opening. If something is missing that is needed to get the pool safe and operational it is up to the home owner to replace or find, or if the home owner allows it, for Phil The Pool Boy, inc. to replace at an additional cost.

Pool closing includes the emptying and sealing of all pool pipe lines of water (we cannot remove all water, but can guarantee enough is removed to ensure ice expansion will not be an issue over the winter). We also lower the pool water level to a safe level before covering the pool. All equipment we can remove and store will be, as well as shock and algaecide being added to the pool prior to safely covering the pool
(if the cover is not safe to install the home owner will be notified and the next steps may be taken).

The power vacuum(s) include(s) the following:
Either vacuuming the pool, leaf scooping the pool, or possibly both.
If necessary the filter will be backwashed thoroughly. All pump and skimmer baskets will be emptied and cleaned. The surface of the pool will be leaf netted if necessary.
The pool steps/benches will be brushed and if needed the entire pool or parts will also be brushed thoroughly. Shock is always supplied for free after each power vac unless the chlorine content of the pool is already too high.
Take note we will be using a separate pump and vacuum set up to clean, lots of water will be drained, potentially several inches, or over a foot! Make sure to fill the pool with water prior to having us vacuum to compensate for the loss of water. If the water is too low after we vacuum we will speak to you about the next steps in getting it filled and/or properly running again.
We cannot always complete the cleaning of your pool on the first try, sometimes weather, electrical/equipment issues occur, or the pool may be in bad enough shape that it will take us multiple visits, etc.
The $125 charge listed above is also hourly, not a one time charge!
